Points of Interest (POIs) on a map can now include rich content such as a description, an image, a button, and a redirect URL. This applies to Map Pin Drop questions, Collaborative Map Activities, and the Map content type.

Adding a Point of Interest

  1. Open the map question, Collaborative Map Activity, or Map content type you want to edit.
  2. Click 'Add Map Layer'.
  3. Upload a GeoJSON file or paste GeoJSON code that contains a Point feature.
  4. Click 'Upload'.
  5. The point of interest appears on the map as an 'i' icon and in the layer table.

Adding Rich Content to a Point of Interest

  1. In the layer table, find the row for the point of interest you want to update.
  2. Click the image icon in that row to open the edit modal.
  3. The 'Title' field is required and is pre-populated from the GeoJSON file. Edit it if needed.
  4. Optionally, add a description, upload an image, add a button label, and add a destination URL.
  5. Click 'Save'.

When a resident clicks an 'i' icon for a POI with rich content, an information bubble opens displaying the title, description, image, and CTA button. Clicking the button opens the redirect URL in a new tab. POIs with no additional content do not open a modal when clicked.

Managing Points of Interest

Use the three-dot menu in the layer table to edit, copy, or delete a layer.
