Commonplace Migration - Step-by-Step Guide

👋 Welcome to Zencity!

This page serves as a quick overview of things you'll need to know to start using the new tools and functions in Zencity.

🔐 Step 1: Log in to Zencity

In Zencity, all editing, publishing, reporting and analysis happen in a single, unified 'back office'. You don't log in using the link on a project or survey - instead simply go to https://app.zencity.io/. We'd suggest bookmarking this URL for easy access later.

From the Zencity login page, enter the same email address you used to log in to Commonplace. Click 'Reset password' and follow the instructions.

🗺️ Step 2: Understand the Zencity structure

Read Understanding the Zencity Structure to learn more about how the Zencity platform is structured - including where your projects and surveys have been migrated to. You can also watch the video below for a brief tour.

The diagram below illustrates the different structures between the two platforms - on the left, staff visit a specific project's URL to log in, edit, publish news updates and analyse data. On the right, staff do all of these from a single, unified backend (https://app.zencity.io).
