Introduction
You can customize tracking links to make your email URLs look professional and aligned with your brand. This not only improves trust and engagement with residents but also boosts deliverability and protects your reputation.
Default Tracking Link Format
By default, our tracking links look like this:
https://os8n.mjt.lu/redirect/12345/hostname/link
After customization, they look like this:
https://go.yourdomain.com/redirect/12345/yourdomain.com/link
Note: Only one active customized tracking hostname is allowed per API key.

Reduces the risk of links being blocked.
How to Customize Your Tracking Links
Step 1: Verify Your Sender Domain
Before customizing tracking links, make sure your sending domain is verified in the platform.
Step 2: Go to Account Settings
Navigate to Account → API Key management (Primary and Subaccount).
Click the cogwheel next to the API key you want to edit, then select Edit API Key.
Step 3: Create a CNAME Record
Add a CNAME record in your domain host account:
Type: CNAME
Host/Subdomain: Choose a short name (e.g.,
go,links,redir)Value:
t.mailjet.com.
Example:
go.yourdomain.com → t.mailjet.comOnce added, enter the subdomain name and click Update.
Step 4: (Optional) Update Image URLs
Check Update URLs if you want previously uploaded images to also use your custom domain.
Note: This won’t affect URLs already sent in past campaigns.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
“Entry is missing”: The CNAME record is misconfigured, or DNS propagation is still in progress (can take a few hours).
SSL not applied: Ensure CAA records (if in use) allow Let’s Encrypt.
Cloudflare Users
If using Cloudflare, turn off the proxy for the CNAME record and set it to DNS only. This ensures we can generate and renew the SSL certificate.
CAA Records
If your domain uses CAA records, add:
issue "letsencrypt.org"Place it at the root domain level (
yourdomain.com).This ensures subdomains used for tracking (e.g.,
go.yourdomain.com) are covered.
Congratulations!
Your tracking links are now customized—helping you improve deliverability, reinforce trust, and present a professional brand identity in every email.
