Zencity offers a range of preset and custom email digest and alert options, to bring the information that’s most valuable to you in your dashboard right to your inbox or push notifications. To figure out which email digest or alert is right for you, see below for descriptions of each one.

Email digests

Email digests are divided into two sections:

Ready for you

These summaries were built by Zencity to deliver some of the most commonly requested data. Read the descriptions below to understand the benefits and structure of each one:

  • City summary or county summary: This digest condenses your primary dashboard widgets (e.g. volume of interactions and popular words) into one easily scannable email.

    • Good for: Creating a regular routine of browsing your community’s daily data and spotting notable trends or stories that you want to explore further within the dashboard.

    • Frequency: Weekly

    • Notification options: Email or push notifications

  • Top projects summary: This digest provides a high-level summary of your three most active projects on any given day. You’ll get key stats, like volume of interactions and sentiment analysis, plus popular posts for each one.

    • Good for: Knowing which projects are generating the most attention each day and quickly getting a sense of where the conversation stands in each one.

    • Frequency: Daily

  • In the News roundup: This digest provides a list of articles and posts, with the largest number of interactions, where your community appears.

  • COVID-19 summary: Built in response to how top of mind this new reality has been for local governments, this digest includes widgets from your COVID-19 project dashboard summarizes (e.g. volume of interactions and popular words).

    • Good for: Monitoring where your community stands on one of the most major and critical topics of most local government’s agendas and identifying emerging trends for immediate actions.

    • Frequency: Daily

    • Notification options: Email

Custom

These summaries offer you more customization options when it comes to the content you want to read, who should receive it, and when.

  • Custom project digest: This digest includes widgets from any project dashboard you choose to follow, so you always know what's going on with that particular issue or event. To create your own project digest in three quick steps, select ‘Create Digest.’ In the box that appears, choose the project you want to follow, subscribe any colleagues you want, and decide when you want to receive the digest.

    • Good for: Following how the conversation develops and spotting areas for action right away.
