Understanding the Details
How It Works
Real-time Language Switching: When you select a language, the system immediately displays all translated content. The questionnaire structure remains identical across all languages.
Translation Status Tracking: The sidebar continuously updates to reflect completion status. Missing translations are highlighted with red indicators and specific counts.
Layout Preservation: All languages maintain the same questionnaire flow, page structure, and question ordering for consistent user experience.
What to Expect
Complete Translations: Content appears fully translated with proper formatting and structure maintained.
Missing Translations: Untranslated content displays in your default language with "Missing Translation" indicators when editing.
Mixed Content: Questionnaires may have some languages complete while others show partial translations.
Visual Indicators:
- Green checkmarks indicate complete translations
- Red dots with numbers show missing translation counts
- "Default Language" label marks your source language
Editing Capabilities in Translation View
When viewing translated content, editing capabilities are limited to ensure content integrity:
- Text edits allowed: You can override individual translations by clicking questions and editing in the modal
- Image & Videos overrides permitted: Replace images with language-specific versions
- Full editing restricted: Complete questionnaire restructuring only available in default language view
- Formatting preserved: Layout and design elements remain consistent across all language views
Important Notes
- Navigation consistency: Your position in the questionnaire is maintained when switching between languages
- Auto-refresh: The sidebar updates automatically as translations are completed in the background
- Preview accuracy: The translation view shows exactly how content will appear to respondents in each language
- Default fallback: Missing translations automatically display in the default language to prevent blank content
⚠️ Only text edits, image and video overrides are allowed in translated language views. Full editing is available only in the default language view.
