While residents won't always report something they see that requires the attention of city or county employees, they will often write about it on social media. Zencity's sourcing and analysis of social media feedback means fewer of these events slip through the cracks, and places the information you need to act in your hands faster.
Here are a few tips on how to use Zencity to identify unreported events:
Take note if a topic is trending or more negative than usual. Hover over the topic you are interested in to see the exact sentiment breakdown. Click on the category you are most interested for more information and sub-categories.
Pro tip: Clicking on a topic will filter all of your dashboard widgets to display data that's relevant just to the topic you've selected.
The word cloud shows you the most commonly used words among your residents for whichever time period and category you are looking at. The more popular the words are, the larger they will appear in the cloud.
Pro tip: If something in the word cloud piques your interest, you can always click on it to find out more information.
You are probably already aware of the reports coming in through your official networks, but we can help you find out about requests happening on unofficial sources. Use the filter tool at the top of the page to see unofficial sources specifically.
Is there an ongoing problem you are aware of and want to follow? Use the search bar at the top of the page and search for a specific keyword to see the discourse on that topic. You can also filter by neighborhoods or by data source.
You can always share any information you see in your dashboard with team members and other relevant stakeholders. To save any graph as a photo, just click on the three dots in the upper right corner to download and share.
If you would like to create a PDF report of your entire dashboard, choose the most relevant dates and click “export” in the upper right corner.
