Content pages can be promoted on other existing pages. For example:

  • Promote projects on other project pages
  • Connect hub pages to other hub pages
  • Display updates on multiple pages

There is no limit on the number of other pages on which you promote a given page. This can help build links between various sections and phases of your engagement of consultation website and navigate visitors accordingly.

First of all, navigate to Content Pages

Find your page by first selecting from the following tabs: Projects, Updates, Hubs (note Home cannot be advertised on other pages since it is the root page). Once you've identified your page, click on it or select Edit from the three dots sub menu.

Once you've clicked through to the Page Builder screen, select the Settings tab.

You'll then be able to select other existing pages from the 'Advertise On' drop down. You can add multiple pages. Don't forget to select 'Save' at the bottom of the page. And then you can Publish or Republish the page in the top right of the screen.

Consider the following when selecting a URL:

  • Avoid circular links, otherwise visitors can get stuck in a loop
  • Maintain a sense of information hierarchy; rather than linking everything to everything, consider guiding your visitors through which content should be read first or later

In order to ensure the destination page in question is correctly advertised on the intended page, you'll need to ensure that the Project Pages, Hub Pages or Update Pages block has been added to the intended page. Below you can see how this is done on the Build tab, by dragging the appropriate block from the right hand side and positioning it in the page.

You'll then be offered the following options to set up the Project, Updates or Hub Pages block. Give it a name or heading and select the layout, grouping, display order and number of items to display.
