The AI Assistant accesses live data from all active modules in your account. It processes community feedback, survey responses, social media mentions, topics, engagement activities, and other data sources to identify patterns and generate insights.
Getting Started
To access the AI Assistant, use either method:
- Click the Sparks icon in the bottom right corner of any screen (opens a bubble view)
- Select AI Assistant from the main menu (opens a full page view)
Once open, type your question and press enter or click the send icon.
What the AI Assistant Can Do
Process community feedback at scale
Ask questions like "What concerns did residents raise most often last week?" and get analysis across surveys, social media, topics, engagement activities, and other data sources in your account.
The AI Assistant might assume context, time scope and modules to pull data from if not specified otherwise.
Summarize trends and compare data
Track changes over time or compare insights across different channels and time periods. The AI Assistant breaks down complex data patterns into readable summaries.
Cross-analyze multiple modules
When you have multiple modules enabled, the AI Assistant can compare insights across them. For instance, it might analyze how safety concerns mentioned in Community Surveys relate to similar topics discussed on social media platforms monitored through Listen.
Support your workflow needs
Generate content for reports, presentations, communication campaigns, social media posts and day-to-day analysis tasks without manually processing large datasets.
In-Depth Guide
Asking Effective Questions
Be specific with your requests. Instead of "What are residents saying?", ask "What are the top three concerns about public safety this month?"
Include timeframes and filters. You can specify periods like "last week," "this quarter," or "since January" to focus the analysis on relevant data.
Reference specific data sources. Mention surveys, social media, or other modules when you want targeted analysis from particular sources.
Response time varies based on query complexity and the amount of data being analyzed.
Using Different Views
Bubble view: Compact interface accessed via the bottom-right AI icon, suitable for quick questions while working in other parts of the platform.
Extended view: Click on arrow icon at the top of the Bubble view to extend it.
Full page view: Expanded interface accessed through the main menu AI Assistant option, better for complex analysis and longer conversations.
Important Limitations
The AI Assistant cannot process:
- Calculation requests requiring mathematical computations
- Some questions about specific individuals or personal information
- Questions unrelated to Zencity data and platform functionality or questions that require external information sources. The AI Assistant works only with data in your dashboards and cannot access external sources or provide information beyond your account's data.
- Extremely large or complex queries, which may generate error messages if they exceed processing capacity
Providing Feedback
When a response is particularly useful or when you encounter an error -for instance, if the AI Assistant cannot locate data you know exists, use the feedback options:
Upvote: Click this button when the answer meets your needs and provides accurate, helpful information.
Downvote: Click this button when the answer is inaccurate, unhelpful, or incomplete. A modal will appear asking you to:
- Select categories explaining why the answer wasn't good
- Optionally provide additional comments about the issue
Your feedback will help improve the AI Assistant performance over time and make sure it becomes more and more relevant, accurate and helpful.
⚠️ The system may occasionally provide incorrect numbers or struggle to locate existing topics, surveys, or other items. Always double-check critical insights and data points before using and sharing them.
